Hi one and all I need help.....
I have Windows Vista Apple Itunes verson 8.0.0.35 Apple Software Updator 2.1.1.116 When trying to download a movie I recieved the -3259 Error Connection has timed out. After reading the correction to this problem (updating Itunes Software) I tried updating to the Apple Itunes 8.0.1 and I recieve a error message from the Apple Software Updator saying that the download has a invalid signature and it has been deleated. I tried blocking the a Active X control in the tools/internet options/security and still recieved the same message..... I've searched the internet and find that this a common error but cannot find a way to get around it, I also tried uninstalling my Itunes and restarting my computer and reinstalling Itunes again only to have the same error appear....any suggestions? Thank you! |

Re: Itunes Signature Invalid
Hi. . .
I'd like to obtain some system info from you to see if I can be of help here. Please download the attached zip file and extract the batch and exe file to your desktop. Now, please try and install the latest version of iTunes again as I want to see if additional information will be recorded in the Event Viewer Logs. Go to your desktop, right-click on the batch file and select run as administrator. You will see the black "DOS" screen appear and scroll, the green status bar screen then the AutoRuns viewer screen - let it scan (look on bottom-left for status - "scanning..."). When AutoRuns is finished, the screen will close. The last item to run will be the Vista System Health Report (perfmon). When it finishes, it will open up in an IE7 screen - save it as an html file (very important) - save it to the new folder (TSF_Vista_Support) described below. The batch job will take several minutes to run. It will dump the app and system logs, run AutoRuns, msinfo32, dxdiag, driver listings, etc... The output will be in a new folder found within your documents folder named TSF_Vista_Support. Zip the contents of the new folder up and attach to your next post. It is imperative that you run the batch job via right-click/admin level, otherwise it will not have the necessary file permissions to obtain the data. Any ? - please let me know. Regards. . . jcgriff2 . |
