Vista firewall problems

Hello, every time I restart my computer, the vista firewall turns off and I have to restart it. Along with the firewall turning off, it also turns network discovery on. Since I am using a public network, I don't want this. How can I change the settings so I don't have to keep re-enabling the firewall every time I turn on the computer?

Also, how do you get rid of the automatic windows media player media sharing with other people on the network? It seems to love finding new computers to share music with.

hi try in network and sharing and select media sharing off and for the firewall try this

I am still having problems with the firewall, I forgot to mention that I have Windows Live One Care, which I think might be causing some problems.
