[SOLVED] BSOD's and Stops constantly. Memory issue?
I am having a massive issue with my computer. The day earlier nothing went wrong. Then It randomly started having major issues. Everything was very slow, constant bsod's. Im stumped. Here are my specs:
Windows Vista (sigh) Home Premium 64bit 9800GTX SLI 1x4 Memory (forgot brand) Intel Q9450 Cpu ate 2.66 ghz I ran Norton and spybot s and d. Norton crashed and spybot found nothing. When i try to play a game or start a application it USUALLY comes up with error code 0xc0000005 (seen from event log). Here are the links to my BSOD images. I only saw the Bad Pool Header once right after startup. The rest happen completely randomly or when i try to star a game (usually Crysis Warhead). My computer is Un-usable, http://img385.imageshack.us/my.php?i...nagemntdd5.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?im...lheaderuy4.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ntfsaz4.jpg Last edited by stellastella484; 10-04-2008 at 12:31 AM. |

Hello stellastella484
![]() Yes I think you should check the RAM You can put either of these free programs on a floppy and test the RAM. Let them run for hours to do many passes if you can memtest86 http://www.memtest86.com/ Windows Memory Diagnostic http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp Memtest on CD http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/256/mirrors.php .

Quote:
Go to control panel (classic view), administrative tools. Run it, and it will reboot and run memory diagnostics. Alternatively, you can run it by booting from the Vista DVD (may need to set boot order in BIOS to boot from CD first). At startup, pick your language, then pick repair. You should get an image like this http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winv...st/Image38.gif then pick memory diagnostics. |
