OS: vista HP32 SP1

My laptop will not sleep
I have an HP laptop running vista home premium 32 bit SP1. I have noticed recently that my computer will no longer enter sleep mode. I have checked through all of the power options and made sure it is actually set to "sleep." The most recent changes to the computer have been the addition of a firewall and av software. I have been assuming that it had something to do with that. Any help or suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!
