[SOLVED] HTTP 500, 403 errors when accessing Sharepoint internal site
Windows Vista Enterprise
All security updates installed. A user is trying to access an internal Sharepoint site in our business domain. When using the regular address, we get the HTTP error 500. If we type the fully qualified domain name, we get error 403; The Website Declined to Show This Page. We can access the site through firefox, but Sharepoint does not work optimally through that browser. We logged into the same computer as a different user on the domain, and could access sharepoint just fine. We also tried logging into sharepoint using the first user's credentials, but logged into the domain as the other user, and could access it. We have done the hard reset of IE7, as well as deleted all the certificates, etc. Anyone have any idea's? |

Re: HTTP 500, 403 errors when accessing Sharepoint internal site
Resolved this issue, and it may apply to any secure website access issues. I had the same problem pop up on a Windows XP Pro box as well.
Go to CONTROL PANEL--USER ACCOUNTS Click the ADVANCED tab Click MANAGE PASSWORDS Delete the saved password for the website/account you are having trouble with. |
