IDE Scan
hi guys,
i am not using IDE anymore as i have completly switched to SATA but at boot screen the bios still does a search for IDE devices how can i turn IDE scan off? ive tried disabling them in the bios and in device manager still no luck any help please i e-mailed gigabyte about a week ago and still no response my mobo is gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro Rev2 my bios version is FJ Thanks

If you are not using Raid, turn off the raid controller and that might stop the search. BTW, have you gone to the Boot area of the bios setup menu and set the Hard Drive Priority to the Sata boot drive as FIRST in that area?
