Internet access in safemode with networking only
Hello first time using this site dont know if this is posted in the right place, but any way here is my problem.
I have a new laptop and it runs on vista, I was able to access the internet ok for a couble of weeks then it started to get difficult to access it. Im using internet explorer from a DSL Router and ethernet cable it would just load a blank page with diagnose problem option. time after time. it took much diagnosing with anwers such as 'too many connections' but after switching off the router (ten secs approx) and a combination of unplugging cable it and reconnecting it the internet suddenly worked sometime quicker than others. This soon came to the point that no matter what I did it would not connect at all with Limited and no connectivity on my network icon but this could be due to exceding download limit for the month which coincided with problem. A new month I tried to access the internet and same story couldnt get on at all it still had the limited and no connectivity on icon, phoned service provider support who got me to test router status by url address it said connected so it wasnt to do with it. Then he told me to delete defult network connection, he then instructed me to reboot in safe mode with Networking from this the internet worked fine He then suggested that some antivirus program or something else was blocking connection. he told me to restart in normal mode and uninstall of exit any such programes. The only one was windows defender. But when it was restarted in normal the network connection icon had a globe and the internet was functional, I didnt have to uninstall any programs. Today I went to access the internet and it wouldnt work same old problem. I restrarted inthe safe mode with networking it worked fine then I restarted in normal and this also worked fine but everytime i reboot the computer the internet can not be accessed! unless I go through the safe mode then normal can anyone help? ![]() sorry about the longwinded post, thanks for taking the time |
