hey guys plz help me out on this one since i installed vista i am unable to open one of my drives namely f:.
problem started since i installed vista (ultimate), before i was using xp.

Hi. . .
Run chkdsk - START | type cmd.exe into the start search box | right-click on cmd.exe above | select run as administrator | type chkdsk /r into the cmd "DOS" screen - the re-boot. Regards. . . jcgriff2 . Last edited by jcgriff2; 09-02-2008 at 01:08 PM. |

The /r switch instructs chkdsk to locate bad sectors and attempt to recover data.
Try changing the ownership/permissions of the drive: http://www.vista4beginners.com/Chang...take-ownership The above link highlights how to change permissions for folders...the same applies to partitions, you just have to set the info in 'Computer' (My Computer).
