Microsoft Office and Adobe associated file icons turned generic
Okay, so what I've done recently was that I cloned my old HDD so that I can use my new raptor as the primary and have the old one as the backup (this was all while I had XP SP3). The files associated to MS Office and Adobe (.doc, .xls, .docx, .pdf, etc.) turned into generic icons.
Afterwards, I then upgraded to Vista Ultimate SP1, but unfortunately the problem carried over. I searched for this over other forums and they told me to delete IconCache.db in ~/Users/[User name]/AppData/Local/ I deleted it in hopes of the system recreating the file and the icons will be restored. The system did recreate the file, but unfortunately the icons are still generic. I'm at a loss of ideas, so please help me out! ![]() System Specs: E8400 Asus P5K-e 4gb OCZ Reapers 9800 GTX Raptor & Caviar HDD |
