Serious windows update problems.
Hi there. Having some serious problems with my windows update.
After attempting to install vista service pack 1 on my 32bit home premium, it lead to a full system destruct. After the servive pack "installed", windows couldn't boot, something which I will never be able to explain. After the full system destruct, the system was stable, and was updating accordingly, but there was one update (Update for Windows Vista (KB938371) Error details: Code 80010108) which failed to install. I didn't really notice it untill I looked through the update history. Now, my main problem is, when I try to reinstall this update (along with various others which have failed), when they have installed, and the system restarts, on the windows boot up screen I get this: "Updates were not correctly configured. Reverting changes." Now i'm pretty sure they were configured, becuase before the system restarted, it said "configuring updates 1 of 3" etc, and completed this successfully. I've tried using CheckSUR, but the only update it installed, was an update for itself. I'm kind of inexperienced when it comes to software problems, so please, if you wouldn't mind sheading some light on what I should/could do to sort this, it would be highly appreciated. ![]() ^ A screenshot as to what my update history looks like. Thanks in advance, Ethan. |
