vista runing really slow now

computer was running kind of slow so i went to a website where they scan your computer for free and find all these probs then fix 20 for free. well it said my computer had 130ish problems. i deleted the temp file from the control panel. now every ad aware check finds over 40 errors. up to 120ish!). before there were only 1 or 2 every week. and my computer is really slow. how can i find the hidden problem or go back to how comp was before i did that? oh- almost forgot- the computer freezes up a lot now too.maybe from being so slow?

Hi.

Got an article here.

Slow computer?

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic44693.html

Do you have ample amount of RAM? Just of the few things to consider.

Maybe this one would help before you consider posting in Hijackthis Log help section.

Re: vista runing really slow now

If your ram and everything else is ok, clear you temps, history and password folders often. i have set the history folder to be deleted every day. you could also check to see if the system needs to be defraged.I don't trust these sites where they scan your pc for free and find tons of errors. often think they make up these errors to make you buy the product.

anyway hope you get it fixed

Go to our Highjackthis forum section, follow the instructions and post there. It is likely you have infected your computer with malware, thus causing the slowdown. Good luck
