Re: How do i update my BIOS ????
You should only update the BIOS if the update contains a specific feature that you need to add. It can be risky, so is best avoided unless absolutely necessary. Check your motherboard manual for full instructions. It should tell you if there's a Flash/Update program on the motherboard CD which is much easier than trying to do it manually.

Flashing a bios is like playing Russian Roulette.
One little slip and you've got yourself a real nice door stop, or paper weight. If a manufacturer is providing a BIOS update, they will always provide the installer for it too. The installer and new bios .bin file will be in a Zipped package, for easy download. In the past, the package will include a Floppy Disk builder to create a boot disk from which the Bin file installer will run. The whole process is iffy enough for an experienced technician, but for a casual user, it's fraught with pitfalls and possible Disaster. If updating the BIOS is an absolute necessity, take the computer to an experienced technician to have it done. Cheers mates! The Shadow

Re: How do i update my BIOS ????
Since there are different ways to update the bios, the manufacturer of your computer should have instructions on the same page where you download the bios update. It could also be included as part of the bios download.
Be aware that updating the bios incorrectly could lead to you having a very expensive door stop. Only update if you need the features included within it.
