AusLogic Disk Defrag Freezes

AusLogic Disk Defrag freezes about a quarter of the way through, usually on an Adobe application. I use Windows Vista Ultimate. The first few times I ran it, it would freeze (...not responding) and I couldn't turn it off, bring up the Task Manager, or use any other applications. I have to manually hold the power button. This last time I ran it, I left the computer alone, and when I came back in a couple of hours, it was asleep. When I woke it up, it was still frozen about a quarter of the way and when I tapped Restart, it hung up on Logging Off, and I still had to manually hold the power button. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I'm not really sure if the Windows native defragger works okay because you don't really get any feedback. When I run it, it's usually gone when I check on my PC an hour or so later. I've emailed AusLogic support, but haven't gotten a response, and I don't seem to find that problem with the application when I google it. The application gets such great reviews, I would love to keep and use it.
