HDD not found?
I'm trying to downgrade my friends HP laptop from Vista to XP. When I boot from the disk it loads, but then when I hit enter to install it I get an error message saying the hardrive isn't found. Any clue what is wrong?

Before doing that make sure you can get xp drivers for the laptops
chipset, if you can and I would think you could, you should wipe the drive with killdisk, or bootandnuke. Then format and install xp.
