Problems
Hi guys
I am wondering if you can give me a bit of help on a issue? I got a automated update for windows and it asked if I wanted to do a restart now or later, I chose to do it now, when it restarted it wouldn't load and the LED on the motherboard displayed code 7F, so I tired another restart, this time it began to load but it displayed at the bottom that "missing floppy disk(s) 40" and I could either f1 to continue or del to enter the BIOS(I went in and disabled the floppy as I don't have one and it removed the 7F code), I went to continue and it stated that my operating system was missing (this is where I got confused). I restarted the computer and inserted the Vista OS disk and it came up saying "Recently the software on this computer has been changed" and it gave me a 3 step guide on what to do insert disk, restart etc and at the bottom of the same screen it also comes up with "line 0000-0000-0000-0000( cant remember the exact digits) does not match line 0000-0000-0000-0000 this could be caused by change in software or corruption". So I did the restart, it started "loading window files" and when it completes the bar it seems to just freeze and stays on the same screen. So I came to the conclusion that the windows update had somehow reseted the BIOS and disabled my RAID set-up. So I re-enabled the 3 drives (I have SATA A1, B1, C0) but then this seems to cause another problem when it restarts and begins loading after the first screen (where you can enter the BIOS, shows the Slave, Master and other drives etc) it goes on to say "detecting arrays" and thats all it says, it just stays there and the LED displays code 75 (I have no idea what that is, I am currently using Motherboard: nVidia nForce 780i) if I restart I cant enter the BIOS so I have to manually reset it. As I don have the motherboard book I cant get the code 75 and when I google it I get different answers. I apologies but I'm not great when it comes to this kind of stuff I had my mate help me build my comp but he is away for a couple of weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vostman |
