OS: vista home premium 32-bit
|
Hello,
I booted linux from a cd (not onto my hard drive), and then I didnt want to use it anymore, so I booted Up vista. The acer screen came up normally, then so did the loaing bar, exept the loading bar took way longer than usual. then after the loading was complete, nothing happened; no blue screen, no flicker, just a black screen. So i tried the repair you computer option when you press F8 I did the startup repair, it told me to remove all devices, I did, nothing changed. I tried doing system restore, but nothing happens.(i opened the task manger using command promt and i found out the system restore was an opened process but not an application). I did the same for complete system restore using backup, nothing changed. Memory check, nothing found. I tried to boot in all the safe modes, then the drivers opening screen came up, then its froze. I tried logging, signature drives, kernel debug, and still, no dice. I tried booting from a backup cd, and nothing. PLEASE HELP ME! I JUST GOT THIS COMPUTER, AND I CAN'T GIVE UP Thank You sincerely, Sunny B. |

Re: Vista Doesn't Want To Boot...
Hey, so you booted from a PE disk/distro? like knoppix? and then windows wouldn't load but it would load the OS[because you mention a command prompt?]?
The key thing we need to know is was it a PE(Preinstalled Environment) CD? because you may have overwritten important stuff... Cheers, Jamey |
