Vista BSoDs keep appearing, need help =)
Hey guys, about a week ago i received my custom pc that i ordered, it has an AMD phenom chipset, 2 1 gig 8800 gt's (Nvidia), 6 gig ram etc. i got it for pretty much gaming & uni purposes. Strangely though, it's far from stable. I installed Crysis & Command & Conquer 3 along with a host of other games. After a while playing both (30 minutes onwards) they either just exit out and i get a window telling me that they have stopped responding and windows is looking for a solution or i get a BSoD, that ends in 07xE & 08xE, i checked a few forums and people had stated that the 08xE is a software (nvidia related issue) on a few occasions the games have crashed even much earlier than 30 minutes in, i have updated all software related to the video card (s) to their current version off nVidia's site, but to no avail, i have also installed nHancer & turned most settings off through it, making them graphically below par, in hope to get some sort of stability, that has not helped either. I feel i have tried everything i can think of, & my computer knowledge is modest, (not neanderthal). I'm quite desperate to get it running stable. Also on a few rare occasions it has crashed in windows explorer and in Internet explorer, i hope for one of you guys with much better knowledge to help me out. Regards Gmoork =) |
