Configuring internet connection via router on Vista
I am trying to configure an internet connection for a new Vista laptop for a friend. She already has a router set up in her house that works with the existing WinXP PCs. But we can't figure out how to get it working with Vista (never used it myself).
So she needs to connect to the internet through the router, as far as I remember there was an easy option in XP to set this up when creating the internet connection, but I can't find this option in Vista. It seems to want me to create a direct connection. Or could it just be that the physical connection is faulty and Vista is just excluding the option because of that? |
