random BSOD when connecting ipod to PC

I just bought a new Ipod Nano and I have been getting random BSOD's when plugging the Ipod into the USB. The error message is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

It happens randomly within seconds after I plug the Ipod into the USB slot. Out of the 15 times I have plugged the ipod into the PC it has cause 4 BSOD's.

I have Vista SP1, the latest firmware for the ipod, and the latest Itunes. Does anybody have an idea what is causing this and what I can do? The Ipod is brand new and works fine on other computers in the house. I also ran a memory test and no problems were detected.

I have not had any problems at all on this PC before I tried to use the Ipod. Any help would be much appreciated.
