Hi Mom28 -

Welcome to the Tech Support Forum - Vista Support!

The little information that I was able to find on Oracle Initiator 1.1.7.18 tells me that it simply is not compatible with Vista. The minimum system requirements found HERE, show it to be compatible with Windows 95/ Internet Explorer 4.0 (IE4) and Windows NT/ IE3.0.2. Vista uses IE7/IE8.

The only thing that I can tell you to try is to place the installation file on your desktop; right-click on it; select properties; select the Compatibility Mode tab; check the box for Compatibility mode; check the box for either Windows 95 or Windows NT; try the install again.

Good Luck to you.

Regards. . .
