I need help plz ok i own an Acer Aspire M3600 , with vista home installed , it has crashed on me twice already since sept , 1st time did a reinstall from cd's everything fine , however now i have a huge problem when i 1st recieved this puter it askes you to do a back up on either 2 dvd's disc or i think 7 cd's , i did the dvd option all good , reinstalled everything fine the 1st time , but when i went to do it on the 2nd crash my 2nd disc got scratched so i can only reinstall upto 81% , had it buffed 8 times still no luck , rang acer they told me how to boot from hardrive however some1 put a password on it that i can't unlock so it wont work that way either , is there anyway i can get the software needed for system reinstall or a way to override password , they want me to send it back to sydney for a whole reimage at my cost , i'm onna limited budget and can't afford this , and they don't have the software i need either , plz help tnx heeps in advance

Welcome to TSF

Unfortenately if the admin password is locked on your system we cannot advise you on how to get around it, if that is possible. The only thing that i can advise is to get a hold of and installation disk (It must be for the same version) and reinstalling from the disk. Once you have installed Vista you can reactivate it using your product key or OEM key if it came pre-installed
