At giftmas, the hubby got me an HPd6000, Vista Home Premium, 2g Ram, 160g HD, AMD Turion 1.93ghz. ( he was trying, didn't know HP laptops are..er..not great)
After 3 weeks, BSOD hell- and anytime an update was made, I'd have to roll back a driver or I'd find another IRQ resource was the culprit. As long as it is running NOTHING but Microsoft, no problems- any other program BSOD. Took it back- hard drive was replaced. It's been 2 weeks back, and now BSOD starting to appear. I removed drivers, (NVdia is an issue). Turned off any auto-updates; set for best performance; set for larger VirtMem. I'm systematally uninstalling software (Adobe Dreamweaver, Windows Live, Firefox). Since SP1 was installed, I rolled back a system restore to before that issue. (BSOD appeared within an hour of that update). Windows NT Version 6.0 Build: 6000 Product (0x3): Windows Vista (TM) Home Premium Edition: HomePremium BuildString: 6000.16584.x86fre.vista_gdr.071023-1545 Flavor: Multiprocessor Free Architecture: X86 LCID: 1033 Here is the latest BSOD error: Product Windows Problem Shut down unexpectedly Date 4/9/2008 10:39 AM Status Not Reported Problem signature Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Files that help describe the problem Mini040908-01.dmp sysdata.xml Version.txt Extra information about the problem BCCode: d1 BCP1: 00000000 BCP2: 00000002 BCP3: 00000008 BCP4: 00000000 OS Version: 6_0_6000 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 768_1 -------- Any thoughts? rat |

Re: BSOD after a HD replacement from BSOD
Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. I did already try the verifier, and all the drivers are signed, and verified. So far, this has been the longest I've gone without BSOD in the last three days... (since the 10isAM one.) I looked at the dump files to see if there were IRQ errors that pointed to a specific DLL or sys file, to no avail. rat |
