Install Vista in Dual Boot.
Im currently running XP 64-bit and i want to dual boot with Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
This is the setup im going to go for. C: XP / #Vista# D: Programs E: Misc / Pagefile B: Backup / Pagefile V: Misc When i install Vista is there anyway i can use all my programs/games in Vista without the need to re-install them. Could i backup the XP registry and import it into Vista's registry. For some reason im unable to "upgrade" XP to Vista, that option is grayed out. Thanks guys..

Re: Install Vista in Dual Boot.
Hello Aus_Karlos
Yes tou will have to create a separate partition for Vista. Here is what MS says Each operating system is stand alone so you will have to install all your programs on Vista too. First check that they will run on Vista If you want to upgrade XP to Vista, here is how to do a clean install of Vista http://windowssecrets.com/comp/070201 Scroll down to "Use Vista's 'upgrade' version to clean-install" http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5932
