my freaking wi-fi connection

I have a toshiba satellite which I have hooked into a Home wireless network, every time I go on the road I plug it into an ethernet connection in the hotel and when I get back the wireless connection at my house is screwed up (that is to say, the computer can't seem to find it or even enable wi-fi). I called toshiba support and they easily fixed it but I never wrote down the solution, I went back on the raod, same problem, now I call them back and they want to charge me 35 bucks cause my warranty is lapsed... can anyone help me so I dont have to eat $35?

Check the channel of your wireless is the same as router.
