Exclamation I am getting clobbered by Vista APPCRASH and EXPLORER SHUTDOWN

HELP! My computer had a virus and I repaired it and it deleted the infected file. Gues what the file was? The WININET.DLL - When that happened everything went bonkers. Now I cannot open anything from the desktop, control panels do not come up. ZERO! Any ideas to start working through this slowly?

Thank you so much

Probably because wininet.dll is a system file and deleting it throws a serious wrench in Vista's entire Internet API. Redownload it and move it to the appropriate folder (C:\Windows\system32), reboot, and see what happens.

Panda Antivirus ?

wininet.dll is a false positive. Follow these steps to repair your system :

You'll have to update Panda antivirus as soon as you get your internet connection back. You should also install the service pack 1 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
