Vista doesn't register vbscript.dll ?

Hi all,
searching for a reason why the drivers for my PalmOne Zire 31 wouldn't install, I found out that Vista didn't install vbscript.dll.
So I simply had to run
regsvr32 vbscript.dll from \windows\system32\
and the PalmOne software installed as expected and all the annoying pop ups I used to get whenever I plugged the USB cable into the Zire, are finally gone

My question is now: should I unregister said DLL (because maybe it wasn't registered for security reasons to begin with)
or is there any other reason to unregister that dll again?

Hello Leticron,

this isn't directly linked to a security issue so your ok to leave the .dll as it is. For some reason vista cannot automtically register vbscript.dll, it can only be done manually AFTER the initiall install. This is happening accross the board to all Vista packages and with a combination of products. So to answer the question, no its not a security related issue

Hello Placehold,
Thank you for your answer...I was just making sure (for some dark moment I believed, that there might be a purpose behind Vista not automatically accepting their creator's own libraries :D)
