The domain either does not exist or could not be contacted

This is the message I get everytime I type in my password from the login screen for the last day. It was all fine and then it just started doing this. Is there anything I can do? Any info or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What operating system are you using? Your specs say Windows XP but you posted in the Vista forum

It's Vista, sorry. I got an email back from the computer company telling me how to fix it, but it didn't work. This is really frustrating. Again, any info will help. Thanks.
