Windows Vista (Recovery Disk's To New Install)

Hi,

I currently have my Windows Vista Pre-install (Recovery Disk's), If i purchased a New Install version of Windows Vista (That same version (Home Premium)), Can I use the same Product Key?

I know that When/If I pruchase it, it comes with a Prodruct key number but i was just wondering.

I do not think you can do that, your Recovery Disk's use an OEM key number A retail version will not accecpt an OEM Key, or at least this it what I understand. If this is not correct please correct me.
