Will Vista work on my pc?
Just wondering, from experienced users, will Vista work on my machine? Im looking at getting home premium, will the aero interface also work?
3.01 Ghz P4 1 Gig dual channel ram (512x2) geforce 6600gt 120 gig hd Upgrade advisor says ok, but I dont know if I should trust that 100%. Thanks for any input Jason Last edited by Nemesis; 02-07-2007 at 05:42 AM. |

well, ms did make the advisor, so it'll be the best at telling you how your pc will run vista. but yes, your pc will run vista ok. not as quick as xp, but still very doable. i would up the ram to make it as good as possible.

i'd up the ram to 2gig before a new vid card. the 6600 is a very capible card, and will be just fine for areo, as long as its got 128mb vram.

I would not be to conscerned about your video card because it should work. Now vista will really eat up your ram so I am agreeing with them and suggestion another gig of ram.
