Un-deletable folder..
Ok i have a folder on my desktop named "wow.." i created the folder as a directory to a video made in camtasia studio.
This folder will not budge, when i try to open the folder i get this message ------------------------------------------------------------------------- C:\ *bla bla bla*\wow referd to a locaction that is unavalible it could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted or that you are connected to the internet on your network, and then try again. if it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heres the things i've tired and was evrything i could think of Deleting regularly - does not work Used the program called "unlocker" - does not work used command prompt ( ran as admin) - does not work putting a file/folder in "wow." then deleted - worked, but came back quickly safe mode - does no work I've tried evrything and i think this folder cannot be deleted. Please any ideas would be greatfull |

Re: Un-deletable folder..
try ctrl alt + delete and look closely in the services as it could be sitting there and you need to end the process first then delete it. or ashampoo do a program which incorporates a millitiary proof deleter in it, try that.

Re: Un-deletable folder..
Like i've said i've tried the unlocker program which traces any programs that are using that folder.
Use what program? ( just woke up lol) IMO i think it's small, small, small...very small corrupted portion of the disk? i know thats unlikely but the disk cannot locate that folder when i try to change any attributes of it.. |

Re: Un-deletable folder..
Have you tried renaming it?
Also: "putting a file/folder in "wow." then deleted - worked, but came back quickly..." Have you ran any malware scans? Last edited by funkmunky : 07-25-2008 at 03:33 AM. |
