HELP -- Java/Flash Issues
Starting three days ago I've been told by all sorts of sites that I need to either download or update my Flash/Java player when I have each at their latest updates. Youtube is probably the biggest thing. It's just a pain in the butt and I would like it resolved. Halp!

Re: HELP -- Java/Flash Issues
I have had the same problem. I have started thinking it depends on Vista.
I have done what they say on here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...nalId=tn_19166 Now it doesn't say that I need to install/download/update Flash Player anymore, but still I cannot watch videos, it keeps buffering every 5 seconds. Can anybody help? Last edited by helenasophie : 07-24-2008 at 12:24 AM. |

Re: HELP -- Java/Flash Issues
Yeah, I've been hunting for a forum to ask this question in and I've found the same question on a few of them by different people, some having had the problem for a few weeks.
When I find an embeded video, from say Kotaku, I can view the video just fine but actually going to Youtube I can't. |

Re: HELP -- Java/Flash Issues
Easiest thing I'd try is simply uninstalling the old programs/versions completely then reinstalling the current versions.
Go into your control panel and into programs and features and uninstall all instances or versions of Java Runtime Environment. *note, Java sucks, when you install new versions, the old version stays as well, so you're just adding to used space. I ALWAYS delete the old version of java first, then install the new version. Most current version found here: Java Runtime Environment v6u7 Do this with flash as well. Flash and Shockwave alike are available from the adobe website and are quick and easy to install. Uninstall the old version of flash from the control panel and install latest flash version. I use firefox. Latest Adobe Flash update here: Adobe Flash Player version 9.0.124.0 Good luck. |
