Please Help Im A Noob

Please Help Me I Got And Acer With Vista Andmy Daughter Was Pressin Buttons And I Think She Pressed The F4 Button (not Sure) And Now My Desktop Screen Is All Black I Restarted It And All That Comes Up When It Logs In Is An C:/ Folder. I Can Acess What I Want But Only Through The Folder Im Going Insane I Have No Start Bar Or Anything. Please Help I Have No Clue Wats Going On. I Stared It Up On Safe Mode And It Still Doesnt Work. Please Help My I Love This Laptop And I Know Its Nothing Wrong Just Something Has To Be Done Or Undone Please Help Me

Maybe do a repair install....

i have no disc when i log in the desktop is black but a fil explorer pops up and if i exit out of it i have nothin please help me

is it that explorer.exe isn't starting up?

try this:
press ctrl+alt+delete
click "start task manager"
file->new task (run...)
type in explorer.exe and press enter. see if it brings back the desktop.

no it just restated the computer.this is what it is when i start my laptop up its starts up normal and when i put my password in it logs in normal then goes straight to a file explorer window. if i minimize that window that desktop is black and nothing is there. i can acess wat i want but i have to do it from the file explorer window and if i exit out of it i have nothing. i know there is someone that can help me im so desperate rite now
