Remove A drive

My computer crashed. When it rebooted it said: diskette drive O failure. When windows eventually restored I found an A drive listed in both BIOS and device manager with floppy disc controllers. I do not have an A drive. How can I remove or hide the A drive and controllers.

Right Click on floppy drive in device manager and disable it.
