Roll Eyes Error 8007371b with KB950126 and Vista SP1

I spent several hours with microsoft support last night trying to get SP1 installed, I installed another KB47?821 ( can not quite remember the number) which was supposed to fix the said problem, alas it did not work. Tech support had me run sfc and chkdsk neither of which fixed the problem. During the process I disabled the Norton Internet Security to eliminate that as a problem. Nothing has worked thus far. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue.

Thankyou

Grin Re: Error 8007371b with KB950126 and Vista SP1

Here is an update, after spending some more time with Microsoft Technical support they were unable to offer a solution to the problem that worked for myself, however the the basic problem is that sfc failed to verify and fix systems files that needed repair. The solution is to place original install media into your DVD and do an in place system upgrade, this will basically fix the problem files. However since I had a compaq presario and no access to an actual copy of the Vista media OEM or otherwise I had to do a restore of my PC to original factory state, I then downloaded SP1 to my hard drive and installed it. I also noticed that the original patch that created my problem KB9500126 was never reinstalled during this process. I saved all the CBS and DMX logs before ithe restore, picking through them I noticed that SP1 was complaing about the media center when it failed to install the first time, I also noticed that there was a waring about a registry key related to media center in one of the DMX logs. Hopes this helps others
