Re: Cannot Search !
Hello Kieran
![]() Search Have you tried the suggestion in the error message? Regedit In Vista, an administrator still has to invoke root privileges to make system changes. Right click the key/Permissions. Click Advanced/ Edit permissions for your user account or group (recommended), If you are unable to access permissions, try running regedit as Administrator Right click regedit/ 'Run as administrator' .

Re: Cannot Search !
Symptoms like these in XP were always a sign of a malware infection.
I have not seem them in Vista yet..... It might be worth checking that out Please follow our 5 Step process outlined here: IMPORTANT - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the HijackThis Log Help forum. http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...this-log-help/ If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please be patient when waiting for a reply. This forum is very busy and someone will help as soon as possible. Thanks

Re: Cannot Search !
thank you for the response Dunedin, I will try this when I get home.
I cant see why there would be any malware as I dont visit anything other than facebook and trackitdown on that computer, and have all legit software. I will post back results here, thanks.
