i have an e machine 2 weeks out of warranty!! my windows updated this morning and when i tried to turn on my computer later i recieved a boot manager window. ntoskrnl.exe is mossing oxc000098. my machine did not come with a disc. e machines says it should have. windows diagnostic tools is doing a memory diagnostic tools check it is the only thing i can get it to do. last known config and safe mode dont work. it there a way to download this file or the recovery operating disc? how can i save my files?

Welcome to TSF Unfortunatley it is something that you will need a disc for If e machines claim the pc should have come with a disc then you are within your rights to go back to the store you purchased it from with the original receipt and demand the CD, they should give you the CD that you need. There might be another way around this so in the meantime i will check other options for you ![]() Regards Craig
