Can't install Steam due to administrator policies
Have also posted this in the gaming forum but I'm assuming it could be a Vista problem so thought it'd be a good idea to post here as well.
When I try to install Steam it all seems to be going ok but then a message comes up telling me the system administrator has set policies to prevent the installation. I am the system administrator and there are no other accounts. I read somewhere that right clicking and selecting 'run as administrator' could work but I have no option for that. Another thing is the icon next to it - it shouldn't look like that should it? I really have no idea why it's doing this and would appreciate any help. Also I'm a bit of a computer novice so if you could explain in simple terms! Thanks :) Here are some screenshots that might help: ![]() ![]() ![]() |
