Vista turns off Numlock
This is hardly a serious problem - merely an irritant. My BIOS is set to turn ON Numlock at boot, and indeed it does so. But when VISTA loads, it turns it off again. The key is not disabled, so it's easy enough to turn it on.
VISTA 'Help and Support' makes no mention of Numlock; another forum suggested editing a registry entry in CurrentUser\...\Keyboard Default (something like that - changing a 0 to a 2), but that didn't work either. Anyone have any suggestions on this ??? |

Re: Vista turns off Numlock
Thanks, sobeit - but that does NOT work. After making the change in the registry, verifying it, and then rebooting, the Numlock light - as before - is turned on by BIOS, but then goes out during the loading of Vista.
And what's more, the value of InitialKeyboardIndicators has been reset to 0 ! Any further suggestions ? |
