Hello!
Recently I went away for a number of weeks, I returned to find that, when I booted my computer up (Windows Vista Home Premium), It took a very long time in the phase where the bar goes back and forth, I assumed this was because I had been away, so I thought no more of it. However, after a few moments, Windows tried to install an update, It got to 87% and restarted the computer. ![]() This happened again, and again, and again.... Every time I boot Windows up the same happens. ![]() I can't even boot it up in safe mode, or "Last known good config" it still tries to install this failing update before the log on screen, fails and restarts. I tried running the boot disk (External recovery) but it came to nothing with all my tinkering. ![]() I then installed Ubuntu, I quite like it. But I do need Windows working again. Any Ideas? I want to try and avoid reinstalling windows. But I will If its the only way to get it working. Thanks! |
