USB 2.0 major problems

Hey guys uhm...

i have been having ginormous problems with my usb 2.0 connections

ever since i downloaded and installed vista home premium this has occurred

here are my symptoms:

*USB's of ANY manufacturer do not work, a message says that there is NO driver software but i have checked, and there are...
*Anything USB 2.0 compatible does not work ^^^^ same thing happens...
*Keyboard + mouse + speakers work...?????? i have no idea why

can anyone plz help me here

it will be VERY much appreciated... thanx everyone in advance

You can try this: deinstall all USB host-contollers and reboot.

I had problems with a printer and the mouse was working on all USB ports.
I am not sure it works for you, but it may.

uncompatible USB host-contollers perhaps? Try to download the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer.

But try first to uninstall and force windows to reinstall the drivers.

is high speed or usb2 and pnp enabled in the bios
for usb reset

in the device manager click on view at the top and in the dropdown
show hidden devices
then uninstall all listed usb items
turn the computer off
unplug usb plugs
reboot twice
replug in the usb plugs
