Windows Vista restarts...

Hi, I used to have this problem last time when I had Vista Home Basic. I now have Home Premium, and I get the same problem. It restarted two times today. One in the morning, and one tonight when I exited out of full screen on Media Center.

Today I had Media Center open, and I was going to close it, I went out of full screen, and closed the program, and I was going to close something else, but the monitor went blank, and a blue screen started to show.

I now have a dial log box open to where it says "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown."

This is what is shows:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: a
BCP1: 00000000
BCP2: 0000001B
BCP3: 00000000
BCP4: 81CA90AB
OS Version: 6_0_6000
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini061408-01.dmp
C:\Users\Ben\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-157843-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Ben\AppData\Local\Temp\WER4C6B.tmp.version.txt

Re: Windows Vista restarts...

I don't have any new hardware installed. I don't have a TV Tuner card.

No yellow flags in Device Manager.

I have the dxdiag ready.

(Reasons why I hate Vista but mostly windows itself? Because even you're the admin of the account, you don't have permission to do anything.)

I can't get the minidump file... Every permission change, and I can't get it. But here is the dxdiag file: http://benswebsite.org/downloads/com...C/error_files/

Re: Windows Vista restarts...

I was watching internet tv from media center, and I have Sam Broadcaster on, cause I have my own internet radio station.

And the link for the video drivers, they must be for only AMD. I have Intel.

Re: Windows Vista restarts...

I don't know if it was the video drivers that I instelled from the site, or something in my computer. Cause this morning I was watching a video, and when I closed Windows Media Player, it just gets to a blank screen again, and it shows a error message, with 0's and x's It went away quick for me to read what it was. But it must have been a hard ware error screen.

Re: Windows Vista restarts...

try to copy the minidump files to your desktop, then zip them and attach to a post.

Re: Windows Vista restarts...

I wasn't still able to get to the minidump file... I tried to disable security, but it finds away to turn back on... I'm back to XP... But I can't get into that minidump file, cause it did the same. You can find my post in the XP forum.
