0-0000007B Error after new mobo / proc
Hi there
I am running Windows Vista Business and have just installed a new Gigabyte mobo GA-P35C-DS3R with an Intel Quad Core 2.4 processor, 4x 1gb Kingston DDR2 sticks and a GeForce 8800GT. When I tried to boot I received the 0000007B error, tried running Vista Repair three times and each time it says it repairs and then reboots but I still have the same stop issue. Have tried to install to a fresh hard drive (SATA 250 WD) - it installs then restarts, then hangs, restart it and it goes through to the password screen but the keyboard and mouse don't work. Restart again and they work, but the system is dog slow. The majority of the time I turn the pc on now I have to restart to get the keyboard and mouse working. Try to install the drivers which come with the mobo and it hangs when it says complete, restart the pc and it comes back with the stop error and I have to start from scratch again. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried to run with just one memory stick, rotating them around, but still have the same issues. |
