Hi everyone.
I recentley bought a laptop from dell (inspiron 1720) and have had it 3 months or so now. This weekend i had a blue screen appear and it then rebooted itself - now it wont boot the OS... it just freezes or does a chkdisk... restarts... then freezes again. it wont let me re-install windows. and a repair does not help. safe mode... freezes ive found that parts of the HDD is corrupt through running a diagnostics - what i want to know is, is their a CD with a VISTA OS on it i can run so i can recover what data i can from my HDD. or is it possible to use a CD with any OS system on it to boot from and then recover data? (i have an usb external hdd to store on) alternativley what other ways can i attempt to restore my data Thanks in advanced. Anth |
