Hi daymaker187. . . Welcome to the Tech Support Forum - Vista Support! I have seen where firewall and/or anti-virus programs interfere with the operations of these Apple products in this manner. So turn any 3rd party firewalls off - leave Windows Firewall on as long as no modifications were done to configuration seatings, and TEST the two programs. Also try this - right-click on the desktop icon for either product, select "Run as Administrator"... does this work? Regards. . . jcgiff2 .

You state that you don't have the option to run as admin... Are you saying that you did right-click on the icon and there was no option to "Run as Administrator"? Regards. . . jcgriff2

Re: Quick Time And Itunes Problems
Were there any error messages noted with the failures themselves? What selections appear when you right-click on Quick Time and iTunes?

Re: Quick Time And Itunes Problems
on the itunes/quicktime setup the right click brings up "open, run as administrator, scan with____, share, add to archive, add to 'iTunesSetup.zip', compress and email, compress to ' iTunes Setup.zip' and email, Extract file, extract here, extract to iTunesSetup\, open with winzip, pin to start menu, add to quick launch, send to, cut, copy, create shortcut, delete, rename, properties"
mine is that order and i tried installing itunes with "run as administrator" and the same message popped up |
