Re: Help please vista--xp
first of all, what type of xp cd are you using - could be part of the problem. Is it oem or retail version? or did it come with another computer.
are you trying to dual boot or totally get rid of vista and install xp.

Re: Help please vista--xp
Hey, DEP can be disabled for certain processes/etc.
To do this: - Click control panel, go to system, then advanced system settings. - click on the advanced tab - click on the settings... button under the performance box - click on the Data Execution Prevention tab - Either click the radio button which says "turn on DEP for essential windows programs..." - Or click turn on DEP for all programs.... then add to the list the ones you dont want starting.... Cheers, Jamey |
