Re: Vista won't play or edit .avi files
Quote:
KLite comes with a small program called GSpot. Drag one of your AVIs into GSpot from Windows Explorer and it will give you full audio/video codec details and tell you if you have the right files installed.

Re: Vista won't play or edit .avi files
It's useful to keep KLite installed and regularly updated because it allows you to play and edit 99% of all media filetypes..... with the exception of Fraps FPS1 apparently

Re: [SOLVED] Vista won't play or edit .avi files
I have exactly the same problems. All my avi files will not play on vista although they play fine on my older xp system. I have tried everything listed above and more! The only way is to open the file on a xp system and use movie maker to save them as wmv :(
Microsoft should really take the responsibility for this. Sugata Mitra |
