So it's been 2 days since my hp dv6000 notebook failed to boot windows. Before this I'm experiencing freezing and hang ups while watching movies or just normal browsing, the mouse pointer is not responding and also the keyboard but it will recover itself like 10-30 secs. I ignored the problem until I tried to turn it off and just stayed on shutting down for a couple of hours when I try to turn it on again it wont start up. I got stuck on a blank screen and it will restart itself and the prob will happen again, it also sometimes i get stuck on the green bar that goes from left to right, in this case the green bar isnt moving. just stuck. So i cant use my computer at all. I tried booting it to my windows vista cd but still getting stuck on the windows vista loading bar. I tried calling HP about this problem and they said it might be the hardrive and ask me to ship the unit to them. This is where the real prob started. I have some couple of illegal copyright on my hardrive. Im worrying that they might find it and get me in trouble. All i wanna do is delete all those files but i cant since i cant use my laptop at all. I dont know what else to do. Ill appreciate any help and advice from you guys. Thank you
