connection problems

Using vista for I.E. , Firefox and Opera. Why do I always have to refresh every page before I make a connection ? It always says page cannot be displayed or page not found. I refresh the page and then I get the site. This happens every time I attempt to go to any site. What can I be missing ?

Re: connection problems

I AM using high speed internet. Prior to downloading Firefox and Opera , Internet Explorer was acting this way. So, whatever it is, it is effecting all of them. Unclear if u want me to " CHECK " or "UNCHECK" PROXY SERVER and in Which browser. Thank you. Please reply.
P.S... What is your mother's name and what " specifically " can I pray for her ?

Re: connection problems

Even tho FF and Opera both are seperate from IE, what ever settings are in IE reflect on both FF and Opera, If the problem began in IE then any additional browsers will be effected. Fix IE fix the other ones!

Firstly you want to make your homepage simple as this will help the initial loading of the browser
1. Open IE, Select Tools and Internet Options
2. Under homepage change it to something like "www.google.com" simple and easy to load
3. Select the Advanced Tab and make sure the following is checked

Under the Browser heading

Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
Disable Script Debugging (Other)
Use Passive FTP

Under HTTP 1.1 Settings heading

Use HTTP 1.1
Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections

Under Security Header

Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0

Apply, Ok and close the browser. Double click IE and see if it still gives you the error message

Regards

Craig
