Corrupt files and cant fix them

lately ive been getting messages from AIM and Windows mail saying theres corrupt files and to run chkdsk. Well ive tried running chkdsk and it doesnt work. Ive tried to do it through restart but i restart my computer and nothing happens. Ive also tried running it through safe mode and command prompt but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to TSF

Find the manufacturer of your hard drive and run their Hard Drive Diagnostics Utility. . Sounds like it could be a faulty hard drive

I have a toshiba computer and it says that there is no diagnostics for the hard drive. Any ideas? thank you

Hey what about corrupt files that you download is that the same thing. Whatever I download says its corrupt or a win32 error.
