Dual Booting with XP And Vista
Last night I decided to try and finally set this up, as I've been meaning too for a while now. I installed XP Pro x64 first, on an 100gb partition on my 320gb SATA. Then I installed Vista Ultimate x64 on another 100gb partition.
Vista by default takes priority when booting the computer. I know there is the screen that allows me to choose "An earlier version of Windows", but that rarely comes up. And when it does actually come up, it appears for less than a second, so I don't even have time to choose. Is there anyway I can make the screen appear for longer? Because I miss it every time. Thanks, Ben. EDIT: I actually figured out my problem. My monitor, when the computer is booting up, switches itself off when it thinks the computer isn't displaying anything. And it takes about 6 seconds to turn back on. So in that time I've missed the screen, but I can sort of guess when the menu is showing. Still, is there any way to prolong the appearance of the boot screen? Last edited by bfmd : 05-05-2008 at 02:52 PM. |
